Print Is Not Just for the Desktop Anymore
Bangladesh's workforce is increasingly mobile. Field sales representatives meeting clients across Dhaka. Logistics supervisors managing operations from warehouse floors. Healthcare professionals moving between wards. Senior executives reviewing documents between meetings. All of them need to print, share, and access documents without being tethered to a desktop workstation.
Smart Printing Solutions' Mobile Document Services (MDS) provide the infrastructure, software configuration, and support services that enable any authorised user to print from their smartphone or tablet — iOS or Android — to any network-connected printer in the organisation's fleet, securely and effortlessly.
What MDS Enables
Print from Any Mobile Device
iOS Printing: AirPrint compatibility across the printer fleet — iPhone and iPad users print from any iOS app without installing additional software. Android Printing: Mopria Print Service compatibility across the fleet. App-Based Printing: Mobile printing apps providing richer features including job preview and printer selection.
Cloud Print Integration
Connect the print fleet to Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive / SharePoint, Dropbox, and Box. Users select the cloud storage location from the MFP touchscreen or mobile app, authenticate, browse and select the document, and print immediately — without downloading to a local device.
Secure Mobile Print Release
All mobile-submitted print jobs are held in a secure queue until the user authenticates at their chosen printer. Authentication options include PIN code, QR code scan, NFC tap, and proximity card swipe. Uncollected jobs are automatically deleted after a configurable time period.
Mobile Scanning and Sharing
Scan from any MFP to mobile email or cloud storage with a single panel tap. Smartphone camera scanning apps submit scans to FOLDERIT DMS or email. Documents are automatically filed to the correct folder based on user identity and scan workflow.
Who Benefits from Mobile Document Services?
Field Sales Teams
Sales representatives meeting clients can print contracts, proposals, and order forms on-site using portable mobile printers — or submit documents remotely to the office printer for a colleague to collect.
Logistics & Delivery
Delivery drivers and warehouse supervisors print waybills, manifests, proof-of-delivery receipts, and address labels from mobile printers — directly from their order management app. No workstation required.
Healthcare Workers
Nursing staff on ward rounds print patient wristbands, prescription labels, and discharge letters from mobile label printers — reducing the need to return to nursing stations for each print task.
Executive & Management
Senior managers send print jobs from mobile devices to any printer in any configured location — and collect output wherever they happen to be.
Remote and Hybrid Workers
Staff working from home or satellite offices submit print jobs to the main office printer fleet for collection when they visit — or print to a home printer using configured mobile print apps.
