The Ultra Pro's core imaging technology uses UV-cured inkjet polymer deposition. The system jets precise quantities of UV-curable polymer onto the printed sheet at locations defined by the digital file, then UV-cures it to a hard, optically clear finish. By varying the volume of polymer deposited per location — from 5 to 250 microns — the system creates everything from a subtle gloss highlight to a dramatic raised texture that can be felt as well as seen.
